IMA Meets Princess Máxima Center on 4 March

We are excited to invite you to the next virtual meeting of our IMA meets series. This time our IMA member Jacqueline Dito and Rob Pieters, Chief Medical Officer, will introduce us to the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology. Rob will tell us about the great missions of the Princess Máxima Center: the integration of care and research, as well as the focus on patient- and family-centred care and support.

About Rob Pieters
Rob Pieters is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology and is Professor of Pediatric Oncology at the University of Utrecht.

Rob is a frequent speaker on (inter)national scientific congresses, meetings of health organizations, universities, and industry. He is internationally known for his expertise in the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in children and infants. Rob is also tirelessly committed to controlling the mission of the Princess Máxima Center.

About the Princess Máxima Center Link
The Princess Máxima Center started as an independent organization, caring for children with particular types of cancer, in the autumn of 2014. The patients were treated on special departments within the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital (Wilhelmina kinderziekenhuis, WKZ) in Utrecht.

Researchers began to work under the flag of the Princess Máxima Center in 2016. On June 5th, 2018 the Princess Máxima Center was officially opened by Queen Máxima.
