Annual General Meeting

We held the AGM at hotel Zuiderduin, followed in the afternoon with a great workshop Psychological Safety.

Date: 3 June 2023
Location: Hotel Zuiderduin, Egmond aan Zee

In this workshop Margreet and Truuke would like to take you into the world of psychological safety: an important aspect within organizations, where the attention is paid to the emotional and mental well-being of employees. Creating a psychologically safe work environment means that employees can express themselves respectfully and in confidence, without fear of negative consequences for their career or reputation. This leads to greater engagement, increased productivity and a positive company culture.

Margreet Hansink and Truuke Westermann have a coaching practice together, Hansink & Westermann and got to know each other during their studies in psychology. Truuke has worked as a nurse for many years in various (managerial) positions. She has followed the training to become a professional coach (ICM, accredited by ST! R and Nobco) and has almost completed her bachelor's degree in psychology. She works as an independent coach. Margreet has been working in the recruitment and selection industry for many years, since 1997 with her own company Hansink & De Looper. Coaching has always been part of her work. In addition to various courses in the field of conversation techniques, she is a certified NLP Master and has completed the bachelor's degree in psychology. IMA New Year  kickoff

On the 24th January we kicked off with a festive New Years event at The Pavilion of Creative Valley.

Date: 24 January 2023
Location: The Pavilion of Creative Valley

This year we invited members of IMA for drinks and a walking dinner. Our contact person was Anne van 't Hoog en Marianne van Heel. Chair IMA.Netherlands, Janine Maas, started to talk about the future of IMA. We are looking forward to start the IMA year events and we think it is really wonderful  we can do this sharing at the beginning of the year. Many of us were present. Next, it was a very good initiative that Yvonne den Burger brought through to pitch about yourself. To answer the question: 'Tell me something about yourself'? And we all pitched about ourselves, and introduced ourselves to some of the new attendees. And of course it's exciting every time, or it is a little longer than a minute. None of that matters. With this pitch as a basis, you showed that you are motivated and passionate! That is a good way to summarise your skills, background and qualifications. In this small setting and small networking event it was a nice way to do. We were very well received and we had a wonderful walking dinner. Everyone received a surprise at the end of the evening, a bloom gift, a plant in a wooden box that you can water. It's a BloomsBox.

Thank you very much www.bloomsoutofthebox.nl and thank you all so much for coming to this event!

Kind regards,

Fabianne Schulteis

Magic Moments with Microsoft webinar

We started the year with the Global Skills Matrix, You did it, and we could not be prouder of everyone who took the plunge and committed to bettering themselves.

This month webinar we will be working on our Technical Skills in another upcoming IMA webinar.

An enormous number of us, EA’s, Management Assistants and Support Professionals, use the world’s most popular software Microsoft Office on a daily basis. Yet only a few of us can truly call ourselves masters. We tend to use familiar features and functions and ignore the rest. Yes, we can send a group email but did you know you can also personalise each message through mail merge? Did you ever think of re-branding your presentations and documents in the exact colours of your company logo? And do we simply leave Excel of the equation because we feel it is really only for accountants?

Microsoft Office Certified Expert Paul promises to make you love Microsoft a little more again. You will learn how to use it effectively to produce amazing professional documents, spreadsheets and presentations, and with the use of our breath-taking shortcuts, it needn’t take you hours!

Date: 16 March 2022
Speaker: Paul Pennant

Do you want to stay up to date with the latest fun stuff Microsoft added? Paul Pennant, the Certified Microsoft Trainer, will tell you all the secrets of Outlook, Word and Excel. He’ll show you some fresh tricks that have been added recently.

The Global Skills Matrix webinar

In this Webinar, Helen will explain how the Matrix came about, its purpose and benefits as well as how you can use it to find your own level and how to use the free resources to start the conversation in your organisation about your role and your career path opportunities

Date: 18 Januari 2022
Speaker: Helen Monument

The World Administrators Alliance launched the Global Skills Matrix on 16th September 2021 after years of research and analysis of the results of the WA-Summit survey of over 3000 Administrative Professionals around the world.

The result is a globally recognised framework for Assistants, HR Managers, Recruiters and Associations to identify five levels of work, with defined tasks and required skills for those levels, regardless of geography.

The Global Skills Matrix will change the perception of the role. It will show businesses the true value that administrative professionals add to their bottom line. It will increase clarity around performance expectations and establish a clear link between individual and organisational performance for administrative roles.
